Indianapolis, IN – The National Association of Charitable Gift Planners (CGP) Conference Scholarship fund was established to offer educational opportunities to fundraising and charitable gift planning professionals. This year's 15 CGP Conference Scholarship recipients include: Cathy Asmus, Jaena Cotter, Etienne Easley, Joe Eelkema, Jessica El-Zeftawy, Sherrica Hunt, Tracy Karbus, Brianne Kilpatrick, Germaine Mitchell, Meredith Mohlke, Amber Sizer, Bethany Sullivan, Cheryl Ward, Dustie Wiggins, and Staci L. Young. 

The goal of the fund is to promote philanthropic planning techniques among a broad base of individuals. Each scholarship includes complimentary conference registration and a one-year CGP membership. 

Scholarships are funded through the generosity of individual donors and companies dedicated to supporting the broader profession of charitable gift planning. The scholarship donors include: Hibel Family Scholarship fund, George L. Wolff Memorial Scholarship Fund, Chisholm Chisholm & Kilpatrick LTD, Thinkgiving, Jon Abrams, Kent Weimer, and Kimberly Valentine.  
 

Jessica El-Zeftawy

Development Officer, Frederick County Public Libraries

Jess is currently the Development Officer for Frederick County Public Libraries in Frederick, Maryland. In addition to getting the library's fundraising program off the ground, she is a Past-President of the Western Maryland Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Fundraising Chair for the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek, a mentor in Women to Women Mentoring, Inc., and teaches a nonprofit management class at Hood College. When she isn’t at the library or in the classroom, she is most likely hanging out with her husband, her kids, and their ridiculously good-looking English bulldog.

Tracy Karbus

Development Manager, Wishtoyo

With over 18 years experience in the nonprofit and corporate sectors,Tracy Karbus is passionate about helping take grassroots organization to the next level. Her specialty is working with multicultural groups. Bringing an equity and inclusion lens to organizational and development projects has helped to bridge the gap for the organizations that she has worked with. She has led various strategic initiatives and believes that diversity, communication and inclusion must be integrated into the fabric of an organization in order to produce high performance teams and increase collaboration. She has worked with community groups, and national and international companies.

Staci L. Young

Development Associate, California Change Lawyers

Staci L. Young is the Development Associate at California Change Lawyers, a statewide foundation that empowers the next generation of lawyers, judges and activists. Staci's work in nonprofits is rooted in her love for storytelling and community building. She's previously worked with alumni associations, entertainment nonprofits and social service organizations. Staci obtained her Masters in Communication Management from University of Southern California and Bachelors in Public Relations from California State University Fullerton.
