A Name Change and Rebrand for Charitable Gift Planner Association
Partnership for Philanthropic Planning gets a new name and launches website
Indianapolis, IN: The Partnership for Philanthropic Planning has formally changed its name to National Association of Charitable Gift Planners (CGP). The name change and rebrand is a result of strategic changes within the organization and the launch of its website www.charitablegiftplanners.org. The new name and logo were publicly launched at its annual event the National Conference on Philanthropic Planning this October in Dallas, Texas.
These changes are the result of nearly two years of member research, environmental analysis and program development. The name change was approved by the 100+ council member network representing over 8,000 charitable gift planners and allied professionals throughout the country. Melanie J. Norton, Chair of the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning Board of Directors and Vice President for Development and Alumni Engagement at DePauw University, stated, “As the leading membership organization for practitioners and allied professionals active in charitable gift planning, we are incredibly excited to think about our future in a strategic and relevant way. The name change not only pays homage to the past but also more clearly defines our distinctive work and the increasing focus on our membership,” said Norton. “It is the sincere hope of the Board that our organization will be well served by this name and rebrand long into the future.”
The new website, www.charitablegiftplanners.org is the primary platform for member services delivery that is focused on professional networking, continuing education, research, best practices and advocacy. The site features a rich online community, extensive resources and archives, career center and online education opportunities.
